Area Victim Services is committed
to respecting and protecting the privacy of personal information.
Personal information is provided to us through volunteer information,
membership information, donors, names and addresses of donors,
volunteers, agencies and any personal information shared on-line.
We respect the
confidentiality of personal information. We will not provide or share
this information with third parties unless:
- We are required by law;
- You authorize us to share the information;
or
- Sharing the information is necessary to process a donation, for
example, to process a credit card transaction.
We protect personal information from loss, unauthorized access,
modification or disclosure through secure computer systems and document
handling.
You may request access to your personal information held by Thunder
Bay and Area Victim Services. You may also inquire as to how this
information is used and to whom it is disclosed. If you notify the
agency
that any of your personal information is incorrect in any way, we will
take reasonable steps to correct it. Thunder Bay and Area Victim
Services strives to ensure that any personal information we hold is accurate, complete
and current.
